REVIEW END OF A YEAR" YOU ARE BENEATH ME "(LP, 2010, DEATHWISH 104)

End Of A Year with the New York area is a band already several times behind, and also a small but pleasant, Deathwish anomaly in the universe. Having never heard any of their previous work, I have no idea of \u200b\u200bthe evolution of the group, but reading here and I seemed to understand that their style has remained virtually unchanged over the publications. Sure to push a giant sound Deathwish extreme as to put under contract this swan white as ours, it means that the numbers had to be there. In fact the band knows her, and even if their proposal is not anything new, the quality is palpable. Musically EMO coordinates are very close, between FUEL and Jawbreaker. However, strictly 90. Who would have thought that after all this time Take That, one of the most popular boy band in the 90s would reunited after so many years and would have pulled out something really cute like that, "The Flood", which I liked since the first time I heard it.
I have no idea what the other pieces of their new album "Progress" that conveniently came out in stores before Christmas, but we'll see what other individuals will be extracted.
Meanwhile, I'm glad to see them together, albeit with a few wrinkles more.
I do not know ... is a bit like a child again. ^ _ ^

REVIEW FORGETTERS" FORGETTERS "(TOO SMALL TO FAIL, EP 2x7 ", 2010)

FORGETTERS is a band from NY to his recording debut with this double 7 "released on a label not known for which there is no trace in the network, for which I am led to believe that eventually it is self-handling ready-good. Thesis supported by the fact that a song here has as its title the name of the label. The guardian of this new band names are important, and there are former members of Jawbreaker, Jets to Brazil and againt ME! What do we mean in the end? Jawbreaker mainly. Melodic punk, a little 'pop, a little' indie. Very meager, is essential, not processed. The 4 songs on the EP are all beautiful melodies guess. The only pain in the ass is always be there to flip the disc after each song. But then the pain elevates the spirit.

BACKGROUND REVIEW - JUST FALL WITH STYLE (SNATCH RECORDS, 2010)

The Facts of Terni in Umbria are three young men of whom I had recently reviewed the EP " Summer Session." Now they return with an album that starts right at home in one piece with a piece (" Is this your nose? ") rather than the usual hardcore intriguingly mixes Rap and Hip Hop with a text on the whole interesting. The rest, however, is much more obvious, in the middle of the classic album of melodic punk rock the present, bad habits, the invasion of Little green men and Duracel . Twelve tracks in all, however, will let you listen well enough, but with lyrics that leave a lot to be desired talking a bit 'too much of drunken nights and carefree. I really like "Take " that somehow reminds me of the early Descendents, and the bonus track (maybe, but not bet, "Charity Stock") that begins in a little 'Brit Pop (or beat 60 years) and continues throughout the fire. Elsewhere, as in "What happens " are pulled and tough, almost hardcore. In short, a record that leaves Ternana in midstream between the maturity to refer to the eternal classical models and stereotypes.

REVIEW DEVILS BRIGADE" DEVILS BRIGADE "(LP, 2010, HELLCAT)

Thanks to John, a review of a group that I really like ....

Brigade The Devils are on the debut LP, but in the past have already released two EPs: "Stalingrad" in 2003 and "Vampire Girl" in 2005 on RANCID records.

There is little to reveal about this band because they already know everything and that is that is basically a side project of Rancid, to which is added to the X drummer DJ BONEBRAKE (yes, those historical) for this LP.

Musically themselves as psychobilly band, Nekromantix and similar wake of so to speak, and the result is achieved in part, except that the DNA Rancid is felt all right, because the tracks have a strong melodic punk; and a bit 'plastic as the rest are the same RANCID. Alternate tracks very rhythmic to more rhythmic, and in any case, you are immediately in a circle.

If you want to hear the D. BRIGADE in a more "blood", then one really psychobilly debut bell'EP reference to "Stalingrad" in which such fees are much more respected. But here we are in the presence of a punk-a-billy tamer, but still godevole.

The album is not entered either of the two tracks of that epic debut, while there is a revival of "Vampire Girl "in the second EP.

The album contains a bonus CD version (the whole album). Inner printed with text and images. Black vinyl.

Things to buy if you like Rancid, indeed.

L 'Everybody Ep of Tesla has also been reported on Polaroid blog! Baruffaldi writes: "We feel unleashed electronic entropy and a lot of fun. On the one hand, the expanded testing, the other a pop cadence always ready to emerge, in the middle - to suit everyone - an ecumenical love of wood, as a good illustration of the second Bee Twin Mountains and part of the race at breakneck Sleep Here.
Four tracks plus a bonus, already appeared in the compilation of presentation of the label, and it is here that really intrigues me. REVIEW KANI "ROCKABEAST" (CD, 2010, NICOTINE RECORDS)

I have four Kani Vicentini ugly dirty and bad, so rockabbestia, the basis on which their first real album just "Rockabeast. Rockabbestia in the sense of fast and heavy rock, metal and influenced primarily Motorhead-influenced. Eleven tracks tiratissimi you take your breath away, though (we see at once the defects) sometimes a bit 'too long and therefore not immediate, and some solos too. Very few times when Kani pull the breath, and when that happens, such as in "Too Sexy For My Pants ", the song still brings the voice of the singer all alcohol and nicotine Poker. The only really disappointing part is "Dead Soul Cowboy , And twenty seven minutes really dragged their feet too. Lightning fits perfectly "The Dirty Son of Joe Cocker ", a title that speaks for itself, since they may be the bastard children of the old Joe fell in love Lenny.

REVIEW StrongARM "ATONEMENT" (LP, 1995-2010, BLOOD & INK 039)

Here is another beautiful reissue that reviews as well as INTEGRITY.

This time we talk about another issue that crossed the band of the 90's HC scene. The StrongARM were the leading exponents of the current Christian hc (Yes, I mean religion) which created much controversy in those days. Moreover in the first half of 1990, followers of Hare Krishna and the foundations historically these Catholics "secular", when not openly anti-religious from the start that had characterized the social aspect of the hardcore movement was brutally called into question. And of course those who lived hc movement of those days will never forget the fierce diasporas that erupted between the pro-life and pro-choice, within the course of abortion. This current thread Christian, very radical and extremist, he found his side label Tooth & Nail in Seattle, and bands like Earth Crisis (on these VICTORY; I'm not sure of the thread, however, but of these only Catholicism dell'antiabortismo), StrongARM, Underoath and Zao.

The StrongARM, in particular, were the unquestioned standard-bearer of the label in Seattle. They came from Florida and in their short lives they released only two LPs and a handful of EPs.

reprint reviewed here, which is their first LP, which came out just for Tooth & Nail in 1995 on CD only. And here for the first time ever is finally presented in a very limited vinyl, I read it on the site that have been printed only 500 copies, of which 400 in green vinyl and 100 black vinyl.

Musically proposed a hardcore / metal but powerful characterized by beautiful melodies, whose ideals successors (musically speaking, not ideology) were very good in my opinion the MODERN LIFE IS WAR. The text (in the classic format of the lyric sheet), however, were nothing short of embarrassing positions in their religious thread.

Review INTEGRITY "Those Who Fear Tomorrow (LP, 1991-2010, Organized Crime 039)

These days I find to my great pleasure to review two super-luxury reprints: INTEGRITY and StrongARM.

This is one of the two that I think the most important.

The INTEGRITY released this their first album, which followed their first 7 "released on Victory in 1992 for the Seattle OVERKILL.

The album was released only on CD with two different covers: the original one which reproduced a picture of the painter Francis Bacon seems to giving the band rights issues, and then in the second print replaced with another bigwig, ie "The Temptation of St. Antonio "Bosch.

LP This caused a major shake up within the HC scene at the time, because the formula hardcore / metal that's been a while 'spreading of years was found in this work and its point of maturity I would say, perfection. In my opinion the final masterpiece in this genre, together with other chapters Fundamental to the work of bands like Unbroken, Earth Crisis and StrongARM has set the guidelines for an 'important slice of hardcore that some of them has gone from growing up to the present day, where dozens of bands continue to rework it and present it .

The lp listened to today does not lose a comma of the initial charge and explosimeter, as indeed do the immortal classics including this album deserves to be full. A sequence of volcanic granite pieces, outrageous, ignorant and beautiful, starting from 'Anthem' Micha, "one of the most memorable openings of the entire epic hc with the primal scream of Dwid followed by a bass lean and incisive, conclusive to the apex of "March Of The Damned " in which personality and a bit misaligned 'upset of Dwid explodes in the maximum of its potential !

Dwid But along with the souls of the project bearing the twins were INTEGRITY Melnick, whose demise in the future it will mark the band's creative decline.

After the first run only on CD, the album was first printed in 1995 on vinyl by ToyBox, a small label specializing in pop and melodic things. Strange operation was that: the album was remixed, printed in 4000 numbered copies with artwork that completely changed at the time, and today, made me goggle. It appeared that an emo stuff made out of Ebullition with this crude cardboard gatefold type envelope, with a booklet inside was like in those years between "gridatori whiners" emo. But how to treat contained a song not released on the original release of the CD, or the wonderful "Eighteen .

Now the reprinting of the Deranged does justice to this definitive masterpiece. The disc comes with gatefold cover, where we have the original artwork in front of Bacon, while inside the re-release of Bosch. There are no extra tracks from the original, the lyrics are printed inside all comes with coupons for free download of the album. The only discordant note the pale red vinyl ... but they could not get black??

REVIEW AC4" AC4 "(LP, 2008-2010, Deranged 161)

AC4 is a Swedish band founded by members of repute REFUSED.

Dennis Lyxzén The vocalist has a bit 'put on a record label, the Ny Våg Records, with whom he made out, among others, the debut LP of his band in terms of 1000 for vinyl copies and 1500 copies of the CD. All sold out quickly.

Fortunately we thought the U.S. Deranged, almost 2 years from the start, to give some relief to this fine product.

Musically than Refused from which the coordinates are moving much more hardcore-trash 80's bands like KORO and WHITE TRASH (look on the blog), but filtered with a touch of uniqueness that precisely Refused i gave all their productions. If I do a comparison, I would cite the band as their Danish YOUNG WASTENER closer, even if they are actually a band of the 2000s (very valid band by the way).

Speed \u200b\u200bis the key feature of their songs with beautiful melodies and a well-defined personality.

They play a long time, and well, and that feels good in the furrows of this production.

not essential, but pleasant.

Here is the first demo of schizophrenia, born from the ashes of Punx Army, training in this demo was composed of Panza (vocals), George (guitar), Zanoli (guitar), Grostè (bass) and Pepi (drums), and pulled the old school hardcore with no frills.
